BioI am a 23 year old female. I am married, with no children. I work full-time, in a night shift law enforcement job. I have recently been diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia. This journal is to document my feelings about and experiences with that.
Please do not ask for my "other" livejournal username or personal info, as I need privacy for several reasons. I have not told my parents anything is wrong yet, and I'm trying to deal with this without freaking my husband out, so I'm avoiding the c-word with him. I've told very few people at work, and I'm afraid I'll get stuck on light duty, sitting in front of a coputer screen and losing my owvertime pay if this gets around. Most've our friends don't know, and don't need to. I don't want people to worry. I also don't want to change people's view of me - most of them see sickness as weakness, and I don't want to be written off or viewed as a disease or statistic.
